The first of three poetry collections by the enigmatic Wopko Jensma, who disappeared without trace in 1993. Uncommon. "Jensma wrote in Afrikaans and English, bringing a quality of the European avant garde combined with an African sensibility so strong that Mafika Gwala assumed that he was black until they actually met. (Gwala, MATATU, p. 2). Jensma's graphic skills and his formidable poetic sensitivity and trenchancy appeared in Sestiger, Wurm, Izwi, Donga, Inspan and elsewhere, until schizophrenia made all forms of writing -  and graphic writing impossible." - Siebrits & Gardner: South African Literary Magazines  1956 - 1978
