'Strip Art Project' was a collection of comics by Daniël du Plessis, Leonora van Staden and Nicolene Louw. The Strip Art Project was founded in 2003 by Anton Kannemeyer, senior lecturer in the Department of Visual Arts, University of Stellenbosch and from 2003 to 2005, du Plessis, van Staden and Louw were closely involved with the project. All three artists presented their work as their final submission for their Master's degrees in Illustration. The art work was also curated into an exhibition - the Strip Art Project at 34Long Gallery Cape Town in January 2006.
Strip Show was associated with Bitterkomix and No 2 has Anton Kannemeyer included in the copyright attributes. Both issues were produced and edited by Leonora van Staden & Nicolene Louw. Very scarce.
Van Staden then wrote her MA entitled:"Bitterkomix en Stripshow: pornografie en satire in Afrikaanse ondergrondse strippe" which aimed to investigate the representation of gender in Afrikaans underground comics.
