The regiment, 623 strong, under the command of Lieut-Colonel B.D. Moller, arrived in South Africa on October 28th, 1898, and was quartered In Ladysmith until September of the following year. It participated in the Anglo-Boer War until 1902. It took part in the battle of Talana, the siege of Ladysmith and other engagements. It includes a roll of the officers, showing the engagements at which they were present and a roll of the N.C.O.’s and men, a list of the officers, N.C.O.’s and men killed and died of wounds and an itinerary of the regiment’s marches.
