Contains 6 folding color MAPS and 6 figures in the text, the monographs of more than 600 companies, numerous tables and statistics, the translation of the mining law in the Transvaal, the Royal Chart of the British South African Company, etc.

"Les Mines d'Or de l'Afrique du Sud"; High quality half-binding in white stippled cloth and leather with gilt border-lines and panelled spine with gilt lettering and decorated panels plus 'Paris 1890' to bottom; Text in French; Collation complete - Title page, xxiii, 357 pages, with 6 folding color maps and 6 figures in the text; Overall in very good condition. Binding is tight and firm, worn as usually for the age, mostly to the extremities, little bumped and rubbed. Text block/pages in very good condition, much unopened and uncut fore-edge meaning outer margins of some pages inevitably tanned and/or slight wavy, but clean, tight and unmarked. No foxing throughout. Text block/pages somewhere pressed by folding maps/tables. Maps in excellent condition, whole and clean.
