Scarce first French edition of this important document about gold mining and Transvaal gold mines. With 11 folding plates and numerous tables, sketches, diagrams, illustrations, etc. This is an extremely rare copy of this precious work, hard to find selling on internet!

"Les Mines d'Or du Transvaal"; Original red cloth hardcovers; Text in French; Collation complete - XXXI + 550 pages + 11 folding plates and numerous tables, sketches, diagrams, illustrations, etc.; Binding is tight and firm, with some fading and traces of soiling. Slight fraying on extremities and spine ends. Front hinges showing minor weakness, but keeps tight and strong. Pages/text block in very good condition, with slight yellowing, very clean througout, only a few pages with a few small light foxing spots or fingerprints on the white margins. The title page has some traces of humidity, as like as the front endpapers, bottom page edges little darkened. Most of the book pages seems never opened.
