First edition 1925. Pictorial cloth covers. A rare-to-find first edition of this work, that has been reprinted several times in the 1930's and 1940's. Pages 143.

A clean copy, bound tight. No markings inside. A few small shelf wear marks on the covers. Translated from the German by Sangiro.

Attached to the verso of the ffep a christmas card signed by Aschenborn.

Hans Aschenborn (1888-1931) is widely regarded as the most important pioneer artist of South West Africa (Namibia). He was a multi-faceted artist who also worked as a book illustrator and writer. The Life Story of a Gemsbuck was written and illustrated by Aschenborn.
