Limited Edition: 2 volumes, printed on Japanese paper, 543 pages continuously paginated, frontispiece portrait in each volume - there are 2 copies of the photogravure portrait in volume 2 of which one is tinted, errata slip (often missing), bound in full vellum with the publisher's device in gilt on the upper covers and gilt titling on the spines, top edges gilt, other edges uncut, with the bookplates of A.J.A. Symons on the front paste down-endpapers, a very good copy.
Colophon reads: The Memoirs of Paul Kruger. Two volumes. This edition is limited to fifty sets, of which this is number 41. Signed by the publisher T. Fisher Unwin.
In the Publisher's Note it is stated that Mr. Kruger dictated these memoirs to Mr. H. C. Bredell, his private secretary, and to Mr. Piet Grobler, the former Under Secretary of State of the ZAR.
