An unusually nice set in dustwrappers of this two volume set, which although published separately at intervals, is in all respects a matching set. Volume 1. Cassel & Co. 1931. 1st. Edition. 8vo. 591pp. With 8 full page plates. Apart from two smallish tape stains on the front paste-down, this is a fine probably unread copy in the original green cloth with gilt titled spine, and plain endpapers and is otherwise unmarked and bright with no foxing whatsoever. In a very good plus complete unclipped dustwrapper which only very slight edgewear. Volume 2. Cassel & Co.1933. 1st. Edition. 8vo. 592pp. With 8 plates and mapped endpapers. In a matching green binding with gilt lettering. Two corners have very minimal bumps but otherwise an equally fine bright, also probably unread, copy. In a very good complete unclipped dustwrapper which has a couple of innocuous stains with some mild edge fraying and a 2cm. closed tear of the rear panel.

NB This is a heavy set weighing over 2,6Kg. and shipping abroad would be prohibitive. I am thus restricting sale of this lot to South African buyers.
