This book was written to help those not conversant with South African conditions and affairs to better understand the general position of the country. It includes chapters on Paul Kruger and his trial, the Bond and its aims, the Afrikander Uitlander, the culpability of the Bond Cabinet, and Boer apologists. 

Original dark green cloth hardcover. Gilt title to the spine; Text in English; Collation complete - Title page, xvi, 248 pages; A blind "Presentation Copy" stamp on the title page. Binding is tight and firm, with usual shelf wear, overall in good condition. Boards and spine little rubbed and smudged, extremities bumped, corners crushed. Some discolouration and surface scratches, minor damage to the cloth. Joints and hinges whole and secure, only the front hinge little weak, but whole and secure. Text block/pages are tight and clean, some yellowing, a few pages with a few minor light foxing dots to the white margins. Endpapers with more age tanning. Page edges little creased from trimming. Overall the condition is GOOD. A sound copy.
