No limitation for the number of copies of this special de luxe edition is mentioned but it is thought that only a few copies were specially bound for presentation.

I.R. Grimmer’s name is embossed in gilt on the upper cover. There are also loosely inserted letters from Hedley Chilvers and H.F.Lardner Burke, Company Secretary of De Beers.
Also a presentation inscription on the front free endpaper from Grimmer to Jim Williams, son of Alpheus Williams, dated September 1946 which reads: 'To Jim Williams. Dear Jim, I am sorry that through want of space in this little cottage, I have to part with this but my regret is lessened by the thought that it is going to one of the Williams clan who will value it and appreciate it. (signed) I.R.G.'
