Unnumbered, one of 500 copies only. Published with profits derived given to The Shakespeare National Theatre. "New Place" refers to Shakespeare's home in Stratford-upon-Avon, England, where the play was likely written and performed. Published as a commemorative edition.

Adam & Charles Black. New Place Edition. London 1911 1st edition thus.

Gilt title and device to black buckram boards and spine. teg. rough-cut front and bottom edges, some pages unopened. 4to.

A VG copy with some minor faults. Light wear, small splits to lower end of gutters, corners a little bumped. School prize label to front pastedown (1916 Berwick Corporation Academy). Original silk tie still extant. No dustwrapper. Still an attractive copy with unmarked contents.
