A scarce collection of mining laws including a translation into English of the Law No.15 of 1898 with reports of cases, Registration of Mining Rights of 1902, Mines, Works & Machinery Regulations from 1903, etc.

"In this edition of the Gold Law, the Reports of Cases are not placed under the various articles of the Law but are arranged together under different convenient heads.

In addition to the old Gold Law, No. 15 of 1898, and the Reports of Cases decided under it, the text is given of the Regis tration of Mining Rights Proclamation, No. 35 of 1902 (as amended by Ordinance No. 6 of 1902, and by Ordinance No. 6 of 1903), and the Mines, Works and Machinery Regulations Ordin- ance, No. 54 of 1903.

Separate indexes are also provided, as well as a table showing the corresponding articles of the Gold Laws of 1894, 1895, 1896 and 1898."

Original red cloth hardcovers. Gilt lettering to the front board and spine; Text in English; Collation complete - Title page, Preface, Contents, v (List of Cases), 131 pages, xlvi (includes Index to Law 15 of 1898, Index to Cases, Index to Proclamation 35 of 1902 and Index to Ordinance 54 of 1903); A clean copy, well preserved for the age. Binding with usual shelf wear, extremities bumped and little scuffed to the surface, a few minor surface scratches to the boards, some discolouration. Otherwise the binding is tight and firm, keeps strong and secure, joints and hinges are whole and secure. Front free endpaper missing. Ink signature to the top white margin of the title page above the title. Pages/text block well preserved, very bright and clear, no foxing or marks throughout, only with some yellowing and the title page and Preface page with a slight tenned offsetting. A sound copy.
