Paterson (W.) VOYAGES DANS LE PAYS DES HOTTENTOTS A LA CAFFRERIE, a la Baye Botanique, et dans la Nouvelle Hollande. Traduits de l'Anglois, accompagnés de détails précieux relatifs à M. de la Peyrouse. (iv), 213 pages, with the half title page, Letellier, Paris 1790.

Bound together in old full leather, rubbed and worn along the edges, the title label gilt on the spine is faded,  indentation in the spine, binding loose, contents lightly browned, with the half title page.

The author’s names are mentioned in the avis préliminaire, but not on the title page of the second part.

Mendelssohn (Sidney) South African Bibliography vol.2 page 144: Journey into the country of the Hottentots, and to Kaffraria, Botany Bay, and New Holland. Translated from the English; together with some valuable information respecting Mr. De La Perouse. . . . This edition does not contain the tables of observations on the Thermometer, Winds, and Weather, the map and illustrations, nor the preliminary advertisement; it has, however, a Preface of its own referring to the contents of the volume, which include "A Narrative of the Expedition to Botany Bay," by Captain Watkin Tench, and an " Account of the Discovery of New Holland."
