He includes chapters on hunting rhinoceros, buffalo and lion, but relates his encounters with elephants with particular verve. As he states in Chapter 1: “There is something so fascinating and absorbing about elephant hunting that those who have done much of it can seldom take any interest again in any other form of sport.” Original dark blue cloth binding with gilt kudu vignette on front cover and gilt spine titles which are slightly dulled but quite legible.
