394pp with a fold-out map at rear. Kwarteeu-serie vignette on leaf following the front endpaper designed by T. O. Honiball of "Oom Kaspaas" fame. Text in Afrikaans.

Dr. Gustav Preller was a journalist, a prolific author, historian, publicist, and soldier during the Anglo Boer-War. He was also an intimate friend of the legendary South African writer Eugene Marais.
