This slight volume features 32 b/w cartoons on its text pages and one on the back cover. They are all from the period 1948-1949, and comment on incidents and personalities in the wake of the unexpected defeat of General Smuts and his United Party in South Africa's 1948 general election and the parallel victory of the National Party and its ally, the Herstigte Nasionale Party, which published this collection.
The blue card covers have a b/w illustration and lettering on the front and a b/w cartoon and text on the (moth-eaten: see image) back. The contents - 32 pp of cartoons and captions - are unmarked and undiscoloured.
