Literally, \"The Surprising Bram Fischer\", this book\'s biographical approach, not surprising for a work written 45 years ago, attacks its subject\'s Communist convictions. More surprisingly, however, it reports Fischer\'s defence sympathetically.
The two-colour printed dustjacket is rubbed and edgeworn. The salmon cloth-boards, black to spine, are in near original condition, as are the book\'s plain endpapers and viii + 158 pp of unindexed text.
