New York ‘Society’ photographs: a collection of eleven photographs of two (or possibly three) women in high fashion outfits, in fashionable interiors, all within a single album. New York: [undated, but circa 1915-1925]. Folio (18 x 14in: 458 x 355mm). 11 photographs (13 ¾ x 10 3/4in; 350 x 174mm. and smaller), on custom mounts tipped into album, or, tipped directly into the album. (Two loosely inserted). Contemporary brown leather, the upper cover blocked with a large highly-elaborate gilt panel, with gilt surround, the lower cover similarly blocked in blind (worn, splits, leather detached form boards, lower board deatached from spine).
A stylish selection, made up as follows: five images signed but illegible; three with Marceau blindstamps; two with the Belleclaire Studio printed credit; and one insdistinctly signed ‘Underwood & Underwood”.
