Demy 8vo; original turquoise cloth, with lettering and regimental device in gilt on upper cover; pp. (iv) + 70 + (v). Cloth ever so slightly rubbed, and gilt dulled; endpapers a bit foxed. Very good. Exceedingly uncommon: According to OCLC, the British Library represents the only UK repository holding this work. The book includes notes for each calendar day of the year, relating in some detail the Regiment\'s engagements and activities in various campaigns on that day, throughout its history. The Peninsular and other Napoleonic wars, various Frontier Wars in South Africa, Anglo-Zulu War and Anglo-Boer War were the conflicts in which the 91st / 98th Highlanders served with particular distinction. The battles of Modder River and Paardeberg are closely associated with the name of this regiment.
