M5821 Leaf from a Grant of Arms, Made for the Chronicler of King Charles IV, Spain 1793
Illuminated for the Chronicler to the King in 1793. Grant to Josef del Callejo Velez. Written in Spanish in red and black ink. A beautifully painted leaf with large initials “C” and “P” in liquid gold on a ground of painted vignettes including plants and a building in the background. Other designs and flowers in various colors of tempera. Size: 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches.
