1.Wassili Adolfovitch LINDHOLM (1874-1935).  [Drop-head title:] Kritische Studien zur Molluskenfauna des Baikalsees. [Travaux de la Commission pour l'etude du Lac Bajkal]. [No place but Moscow?: 1927?]. Quarto. Early black cloth-covered boards (some damage to upper joint). Provenance: Wladyslaw Karol Aleksander Polinski (1885-1930, author’s presentation inscription). Off-print from a publication produced by the Academy of Sciences of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

2.W. A. LINDHOLM (1874-1935).  [Wrapper title: Materialien zur Molluskenfauna von Sudwestrussland, Polen und der Krim. Odessa: 1908]. Octavo. Original grey paper wrappers, stapled into cream paper wrappers. Provenance: Heinrich Rudolf Simroth (1851-1917, author’s presentation inscription). Off-print.

3.Alexander Theodor von MIDDENDORF (1815-1894). [Drop-head title:] Grundriss fut eine Geschicte der Malakozoographie Russlands. [Moscow: 1848]. Small octavo. Early thin paper warppers, stapled into cream paper wrappers. An extract from the Bulletin de la Societe Imperiale des naturalists de Moscou.

4.Salomon Markovich HERZENSTEIN (1854?-1894). Beiträge zur Kenntniss der Fauna der Murmanküste und des Weissen Meeres. I. Mollusca. St. Petersburg: 1885. Octavo. Title in Russian and German, text in Russian with the scientific data given in the usual westernized form. Original grey paper wrappers (worn, chipped, the upper cover laid down), stapled into cream paper wrappers. Provenance: Paul Henri Fischer (1835-1893, author’s presentation inscription). Off-print.

5.Alexander Davidivic von NORDMANN (1803-1866). Notiz ueber eine Riesenform der Miesmuschel aus den russich-amerikanischen Besitzungen, Mytilus edulis, forma gigantea. Moscow: 1863. 12mo. 3 tinted lithographed plates  (1 folding). Early pale green paper wrappers, later light brown paper wrappers. Provenance: Peter Leopold Ivanovich von Schrenck (pencilled author’s presentation inscription on title). Off-print from the ‘Bulletin de la Societe Imperiale des Naturalistes de Moscou.’.
