1.Carmelo MARAVIGNA (1782-1851). Memoires pour servir a l’histoire naturelle de la Sicile. Paris: 1838. Octavo. Pp. [1-]6-86[-88]. 6 folding lithographic plates. Uncut. Original pink wrappers (staple stab holes, some surface soiling), loose in cream paper wrappers. The minerals, the molluscs and shells, the volcanos of Sicily. Carmelo Maravigna was a scholar of mineralogy, he was the first to describe the most characteristic minerals of Sicily, of paleontology and above all of volcanology, with particular regard to Etna. He was a professor of chemistry at the University of Catania.

2.Cajetan Platania PLATANIA. Enumeratio Molluscorum Extramarinorum in Sicilia detectorum. Aci-Regali: 1885. 12mo. Pp. [1-]4-24. Grey paper wrappers (surface soiling). Provenance: Conchological Society (ink stamp on upper cover).  

3.Marcialis EFISIO. Saggio di Malacologia del Golfo di Cagliari. Cagliari, Sardinia: 1889. Small octavo. Pp. [1-]6-15[-16]. (Some toning, neat repairs to outer blank margins of three leaves, creasing to  upper outer corners). Stitched (staple stab holes, some surface soiling), loose in cream paper wrappers.

4.Marchese Don Antonio de GREGORIO Brunaccini Principe di S. Teodoro. [Drop-head title:] Esame di taluni Molluschi viventi e terziari del Bacino Mediterraneo. [Palermo: 1889]. Small quarto. Pp. [1-]2-26[-28. 2 plates. Green upper paper wrapper only, stapled into cream paper wrappers. Off-print.  (4).
