This is a soft-covered version of Lot 130 of Auction #37, which sold for $263.
The compilation - xlix +612 pp of text + appendixes + index paginated li-xciii - is invaluable for its comprehensive survey of the provisions applying to "the Native territories" in the colonial years leading up to Union in 1910. The copy is complete and includes the rare 2 pp folded typescript insert at pp 338-9 - Proclamation No 26 of 1900, December 31, 1900, by H E Sir A Milner, etc, Governor. There are a few other amendments in red ink. The copy was originally in the Commissioner's Library in Cape Town.
