This was ex-MP and ex-Senator Tommy Boydell's copy.

The full report ran to 3755 pp, 598 tables and 66 large-scale maps and was not published in that form. The summary itself - this item - has xviii + 212 pp of double-column text, tables and graphics + a further 64 pp of maps and charts on better paper. The contents are side-stitched into brown linen-faced covers, with black lettering to the front and spine.

Although six thousand copies were printed, half a century on good copies of this Apartheid handbook are seldom seen.

There is a library stamp on the title page and a paragraph on p 207 is marked in ink in the margins. For the rest, this remains a well-bound, unmarked and undiscoloured copy.
