The subtitle of this rare item of ephemera is "A Journal for General Campbell's Flying Column. Editor Capt Byron. Office: The Yellow Wagon".
No publisher, printer or year are indicated, but Hackett (p 133) suggests that this is a [typeset] reprint, "possibly published for private circulation". This copy appears to have been bought from Sawyer's Africana booksellers (of London) in 1954.
The binding is vellum, with gilt lettering and rules on the upper panel only. Plain endpapers, with pencil notes on the front free leaf. The title page is a photographic bromide, slightly chipped towards the fore and lower edges. The 32 other pp carry sketches and written contributions.
