" . . . from the Cape of Good Hope 1793-1803, together with her journal of a tour into the interior from Cape Town to beyond Stellendam. An observant, amusing & highly-personal account of domestic life at the Cape. With one hundred illustrations and a panorama of Cape Town"
Loosely inserted in this copy is a 1992 letter from the author answering a question from a staff member of the National Monuments Council.
With the exception of very slight damage to the unprotected dustjacket, this copy is in fine condition throughout - complete, unmarked and undiscoloured. The pink black-printed dustjacket has a few chips at the foot as well as stains at the back. (See image.) Quarter-bound in brown Skivertex and rose paper-boards, the covers, binding and plain endpapers are as-new, while the contents - xv + 303 pp of b/w illustrated text, appendixes and index - are equally fine, indicating very careful reading.
