How it works

Register

A very good or better copy of this scarce Greene first edition in a poor but nevertheless present dustwrapper which is usually absent as it is a very fragile wartime production. The book itself is very clean with bright orange boards. There is evidence of a signature and date erasure from the front free endpaper and a small bookseller's label at the bottom of the front pastedown  but otherwise internally unmarked and unfoxed. The dustwrapper is defective. The front and rear panels and both flaps are largely intact apart from some edge fraying. Howerver the spine is missing large pieces and has come adrift from the adjacent panels. Housed in a Brodart dustwrapper protector. The reserve price is low - even for a wrapperless copy.
