Provenance: inscription 'For darling Stephanie / with best love from / Aunt Fannie / 1st May 1914'; Maie Mitchell (small 'cat' bookplate).
An excellent copy of this fragile work: quite rare in this condition. According to Linder this is believed to be the first edition, second issue, printed in November 1906, presumably for the American market as the imprint on the lower cover lists New York before London. Linder, p.426; Quinby 11.
