Dutch Treat [The Hunted; Swag; Mr. Majestyk]. New York: ‘Arbor House’ [but: The Mysterious Press], 1977. Octavo (9 x 6in; 228 x 152mm). Pp. [i-ii; 1-xiv;1-]568. Original blue/green cloth, upper cover and spine blocked in gilt, upper cover with onlaid paper label with portrait, slipcase. Condition: small mark to slipcase (see image), otherwise excellent. First edition thus, from the limited edition, one of 350 copies, signed by the author on yellow-toned insert bound at the front (as issued). The book contains three complete works: The Hunted; Swag; Mr. Majestyk. Unusually, ‘Mr. Majestyk’ was based by Leonard on his screenplay for the 1974 movie of the same name, which starred Charles Bronson.

Condition: slight darkening to spine (see image), otherwise excellent. First edition thus, from the limited edition, one of 500 copies, signed by the author on light-blue-toned insert bound at the back (as issued). The basis for a TV movie starring Jimmy Smits.
