Together, these two books, one a monograph and one a selection of writings, provide a broad canvas of the life and works of Olive Schreiner.

(1) Not Without Honour. The Life and Writings of Olive Schreiner. With an Introduction by J C Smuts. Dustjacket chipped. Blue cloth-boards rubbed at spine extremities. Endpapers sunned. 248 pp of text, bibliography and index + frontispiece and 16 other pp of inserted monochrome plates - all in very good condition.

(2) Until the Heart Changes. A Garland for Olive Schreiner. With an introduction by William Plomer and extracts from essays and other works by some 30 writers on Oliver Schreiner, her family and her writing. This ex-library copy is in very good condition throughout. 158 pp plus tipped-in monochrome frontispiece portrait. No other illustrations.
