From the collection of Colin White (1927–2022), distinguished art

historian, author, and collector. A leading authority on early

20th-century illustration. White wrote the first major biography of

Edmund Dulac (Studio Vista, 1976) and seminal works on Jessie M. King,

including The Enchanted World of Jessie M. King (Canongate, 1989) and

A Guide to the Printed Work of Jessie M. King (British Library). His

extensive library of over 10,000 volumes and deep scholarship informed

major exhibitions at Leeds, Sheffield, and the Heath Robinson Museum.
