Rick comments: “Second in a series I did for scene star Neil 'Reverend Neil X' Ruttenberg for his regularly scheduled 3hr Sunday night radio shows on the University of Texas FM station at a time when commercial radio would not play punk. Uber rare as I only printed 100 copies” 

“Naturalized Texan Rick Turner arrived in Austin by way of San Antonio through Ann Arbor. Rick quickly became part of the emerging counter culture art scene in Austin, Texas. Friends with Kerry Awn, Tommy Bauman and Artly Snuff, Rick combined his art with music theatre performance as part of the Uranium Savages “security crew”, The Shrowvinovers. 1973 brought the emergence of Austintatious Comics. Between 1970 and 1980 Rick created music posters, restaurant ads, original paintings, drawings, stained glass windows for a church and album covers.” (SouthPop bio./blurb for Rick Turner’s 2012 show “Last Show Before the end of the World”)
