Bound together with separately published "The New Testament", "The Book of Psalms", "Evangelical Songs" and "Catechism, or Instruction in Christian Doctrine" ("Het Nieuwe Testament" (1853); "Het Boek der Psalmen" (1853); "Evangelische Gezangen" (1855); "Catechismus, of Onderwijzing in de Christelijke Leer, die...").

Bound in an original brown leather binding with a beautiful hand-made filigree silver clasp with debossed floral motive on the overlapping part.

Binding is tight and firm, with some bumping and little scuffing mostly to the extremities. Outer spine with some more damage from bending when opening the book, but joints and hinges are whole, stable and strong. Silver clasp fully functional and well preserved for the age, with little patina and minor deforming. Pages/text block with some age tanning and light foxing mostly to the margins, no marks or annotations, few pages with a dog eared corners. A good, sound copy.
