First edition: 419 pages, woodcut printer's device on the title page, original black cloth boards, titled gilt on the spine, foxing on the page edges, a very good copy in the dust jacket designed by E. Burt Trimpey from a photograph taken by E. Burt Trimpey of sculptures by Clark Ashton Smith - the jacket is printed on thick stock paper and spirit varnished, it is worn along the edges and foxed at the folds.

The colophon reads, ‘Two thousand copies of this book have been printed by The Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, Minasha, Wisconsin, from Intertype Garamond on Winnebago Eggshell. The binding cloth Holliston Black Novelex.’ Verso of page [419]
