144 pages, illustrated throughout in colour. Brick red paper boards with pictorial dust jacket, covered in loose library plastic. A very good copy.

Rock Paintings of South Africa: Revealing the Legacy is a visual record of one of South Africa’s most valuable cultural treasures.

Each colour plate represents an intricately painted recording by the author of a rock painting from South Africa. These recordings have been rendered with natural pigments and materials collected in the field and accurately record what appears on the rock face. The plates show details that have sometimes faded and are no longer clearly visible to the untrained eye or through conventional or digital photography alone.
