First edition: (viii), 274, (i colophon) pages, woodcut printer's device on the title page, original black cloth titled gilt on the spine - corners slightly bumped, light foxing on the top edge and rear endpaper, contents bright, a very good copy in the dust jacket designed by Ronald Clyne - the jacket is printed on thick stock paper and spirit varnished, it is slightly frayed along the edges and with the hint of foxing at the folds, it is not price clipped with the price $3.00, it is preserved in a Brodart cover hence the slight glare on the photograph.
The contents comprises Twenty-one stories, eleven of which appeared in Weird Tales.
The colophon on the final unnumbered page reads, 'Two thousand copies of this book have been printed by The Collegiate Press, George Banta Publishing Company, from Linotype Caledonia on cream Eggshell. The binding cloth is Holliston Black Novelex,'
