A tea planter, the author made four big game hunting trips into the North-Central province of Ceylon with hunts around tanks such as Minnery and Kantalawa. He relates adventures hunting elephant, bear, and buffalo in the region with note of deer species and small game as well. A rare work. Illustrated with 8 plates. 119 pages, a few with tape repairs to inner edge. This copy bound in black cloth (not recent) with a paper spine label. A rare work.
