Inscribed to owner by Dot Malan. Dedicated to Mrs W. Malan. We note that this copy includes a 2-page typescript biography of author Darius de Klerk, apparently by Dorothy Malan, who has inscribed this copy. A considerable number of Boers sought refuge in Portugal after both the Anglo-Boer war and the Great War. This is an an account of their fortunes. Living in Portugal the author did considerable research to determine the who, where, and the whens, also to locate if possible where some of these people might have been buried.
