Mit 17 Vollbildern, 48 Textillustrationen und 6 karten"; Quarter leather; Text in German; Collation complete - Title page, XV, 486 pages, with 17 full-page plates and 6 folding maps, plus 48 text illustrations; Ex-library copy with library stamp to the front free endpaper. Binding is tight and firm, remains strong and secure, but worn as usual for the age. Covers and spine little bumped, with surface scuffing and wear, more to the spine and extremities, corners crushed. Spine partly sunned/faded, with some discoloration both to the boards and spine. Short cracking to the leather of both upper joints and little longer to the lower rear joint, hinges whole and secure. Text block/pages with age tanning, but clear, no foxing, annotations or markings. A sound copy.
