Charles William Blaise (C.W.B.) Molteno was a South African advocate, political commentator, and a member of the influential, politically active Cape liberal Molteno Family.
Written between 1906 and 1909, the letters capture his professional and personal insights into what he termed "Burning South African Questions." He used his legal and social standing to critique the transitioning governance frameworks of the country right up to the edge of Unification. (https://www.moltenofamily.net/biographies/)
